Lee, Black & Hollis, P.C., and McManamy Jackson, P.C., are pleased to announce their decision to merge law firms, combining their expertise to build on long-standing records of conducting successful and efficient real estate transactions. Spanning decades, the two leading Savannah real estate law firms have independently guided consumers, businesses, and lenders through the challenging aspects of buying, selling, and financing of real property.

Savannah-based Lee, Black & Hollis, P.C. and McManamy Jackson, P.C. combine to form one of the largest real estate law firms serving the Coastal Empire.

On October 1, 2020, the merger will effectively form McManamy Jackson Hollis, LLC, creating one of the largest real estate law firms serving the Coastal Empire, and bringing together a combined staff of 38 individuals including lawyers and support staff.

“This is a merger of equals that represents a strategic intention and choice,” said Douglas P. McManamy, managing partner of McManamy Jackson, P.C. “Recent events surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic laid bare the importance of advanced technology and operational systems for any business to succeed and our merger will unite our combined desire to offer our clients the best possible available solutions.”

According to Jackson, over the last several years, real estate transactions and lending have been trending towards a heightened awareness and understanding of technology to better serve and protect clients. “We believe to compete not just locally, but regionally and nationally, our ability to meet and exceed clients’ needs and expectations will be vital. Forefront technology and efficient work-flow systems allow the customer to better control the time, place, and manner of their transaction without disrupting the law firm’s tasks to be accomplished and the timeline to be met.”

“We both recognized our strong alignments regarding vision, culture, and expertise,” shared Thomas (T.J.) Hollis of Lee, Black and Hollis, P.C. “By coming together as one firm, we can deliver exceptional value to our clients across the Southeast including Savannah, Pooler, Rincon, and Richmond Hill—with more office locations planned for the future to make our firm’s services readily available throughout the Coastal Empire. Merging our firms will leverage the experience, depth, and breadth of both firms, providing clients increased access to innovative solutions to ensure a smooth real estate closing, for residential and commercial, each and every time.”

A LOOK BACK

Edward Lee and W. Jerrold Black formed Lee and Clark in 1976 and built a practice based on excellence, integrity, and professionalism, ultimately becoming the Lee, Black & Hollis, P.C. of today and maintaining its reputation as a leading real estate law firm in Savannah and the coastal Georgia area. McManamy Jackson, P.C., founded in 2012, has fostered a culture of client-centered value and integrity, which has earned the firm the level of regard from both clients and peers, and positioned the firm for greater growth across the region.

“We’re proud of the family-first culture that is at the heart of each of our firms’ foundations and looking forward to working together to positively influence more broadly how real estate law is practiced in Georgia,” said Stephen Jackson, Jr., a founding partner of McManamy Jackson, P.C. “Together, we will allow more people to have the best possible experience during what is usually the largest purchase or sale of their lives.”

With a larger presence in southeast Georgia, McManamy Jackson Hollis will offer buyers, sellers, and lenders more attorneys, more resources, and more access to the constructive, strategic, and latest technology-intelligent resolution of real estate matters. McManamy Jackson Hollis law firm will maintain offices in Savannah, Pooler, Rincon, and Richmond Hill with additional locations to be announced in the near future.
